The Bar Association of Serbia, together with its Bar Academy, Journal for Legal Theory and Practice “Branič” and the ALF Center for Legal Fundamentals of the Faculty of Law University of Belgrade, is organising a seminar on “Legal Philosophy (Theory) and Its (Potential) Importance for Legal Practice”, which will be held in the premises of the Bar Academy of the Bar Association of Serbia, Dečanska 13, 6th floor, Belgrade, on November 3, 2023 (Friday), starting at 5:00 pm.
Welcoming speeches will be given by Veljko Delibašić, PhD, attorney at law and the vice president of the Bar Association of Serbia and Dragoljub J. Đorđević, Dean of the Bar Academy of the Bar Association of Serbia, while introductory lectures will be held by professors and ALF academic members of the Faculty of Law University of Belgrade, Prof. Miodrag Jovanović, PhD Prof. Goran Dajović, PhD and Prof. Bojan Spaić, PhD and Vladimir P. Miljević, attorney at law. Seminar will be moderated by Miroslav Paunović, PhD, attorney at law.
The main objective of the seminar is to initiate a discussion on the importance of legal philosophy (theory) on the overall knowledge regarding law that can be useful to practicing lawyers, judges and public prosecutors.
This is only the first among many ALF activities that will tackle the connections between legal theory and legal practice in Serbia.
